The Eames Brothers are Seth Eames, Guitar/Vocals, and Ralph Eames,Bass, and Phil Carr, drums.
The Eames Brothers Have been playing together for 18 years, and have been living and playing in and around vermont for 10 years since moving back home after a decade living in the Rocky Mountain west.
The Eames Brothers sound could be described as a blend of Rock, Blues, and a whole lot of soul. Influences include, Dr. John, the Meters, Howlin’ Wolf, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson and The Band.
The Eames Brothers have shared the stage with Grace Potter and Trey AnastasioThe Eames Brothers Band has released two albums, “Open Road” (2005 voted by Seven Days as one of the ten vermont best that year) and “Down To Change” (2010) featuring drummer Matt Burr of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.
Seth Eames has released to albums (solo), one (“Two Moons Pulling Down On Me”) being voted by Seven Days as one of Vermont’s top ten best for the year, and a recent album (“It Disappears”) with fellow Vermonter Michael Chorney (Viper House, Anais Mitchel) also voted to the top ten spot by Seven Days.
The “Brothers” have played nearly every venue in northern Vermont, including The North East Kingdom Music Festival, The Burke Mountain Summer Music Festival, The Burlington Discover Jazz Festival, The Battery Park (Burlington) Summer Concert Series, Rhino Fest, Nectars, Higher Ground etc… and have extensive airplay on such radio stations as Vermont Public Radio (VPR) The Point (104.7) WCLX (102.9, the Album Station) WRUV (UVM) and WOMM (The Radiator, Burlington).
