  • The Avett Brothers – “Love of A Girl”: The band formed in 2000 in Mount Pleasant North Carolina by Scott and Seth Avett, hit it big in 2009 with their sixth album I and Love and You. They’ll be releasing their 11th self-titled studio album titled, on May 17. This new up-tempo track captures the emotional journey of falling in love and cherishing the bond shared between two individuals.
  • Guster“Keep Going”: The boys from Boston are getting ready to release their ninth studio album, Ooh La La; their first new music in five years. The new song is about resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity. They are encouraging us to keep pushing forward, despite challenges and setbacks.
  • Kings of Leon“Mustang”: The latest from Nashville’s band of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill and their cousin Matthew Followill. They grew up in Oklahoma and Tennessee with their preacher father. Their ninth studio album, Can We Please Have Fun, is planned for release May 10. The band says for this album, they tried out new things and had fun recording the album. They say it’s the sound of a band unified in vision and purpose, freed from any expectations, and the album is the one they’ve always wanted to make.
  • Vampire Weekend – “Capricorn”: The rock band from NYC has released their first new music in five years. Their upcoming fifth studio album’s music in influenced by the Indian classical music tradition, raga after Ezra Koenig took singing lessons in that style in Japan. The new album, Only God Was Above Us, is set to be released April 5th. To celebrate the release of the album, the band has announced a show at Austin’s Moody Amphitheater on April 8 during the total solar eclipse. This is a song about aging and trudging along in life in what feels like the fallout of some bygone heyday.
  • Pete Yorn – “Someday, Someday”: After his role as a mysterious hitman hired to blow up a house in the film Killers of the Flower Moon, New Jersey’s Pete Yorn is getting ready to release a new album. He gained international recognition with his debut album Musicforthemorningafter when it was released in 2001. Since then, he’s released ten albums. This track is an introspective acoustic number that finds Pete ruminating on a relationship that’s been relegated to the fringes of life, and features Rami Jaffee, of Foo Fighters, on keys.
