SUMMARY:Grand Point North @ Waterfront Park
DESCRIPTION:Grace Potter’s\nGrand Point North \nSunday\, September 15th @ 3:00 pm \nWaterfront Park | Burlington\, VT \n-Get Tickets and Event Info Here- \nSunday\, 9/15 Lineup: \nGrace Potter / Warren Haynes /  Rainbow Kitten Surprise / Gov’t Mule / Lucius / Michael Nau / Lady Moon & The Eclipse / The Bubs / Sabouyouma / Princess Nostalgia \n*All dates\, artists and ticket prices subject to change without notice* \nDescribed by Spin as “one of the greatest living voices in rock today\,” and by SF Weekly as “the whole package”\, Grace Potter continues to impress both critics and audiences with her musical achievements and captivating live shows. \nHeralded as one of today’s best live performers\, Grace Potter has played every major music festival from Coachella and\nLollapalooza to Bonnaroo and Rock in Rio. She’s had the honor of sharing the stage with artists such as The Rolling Stones\, Willie Nelson\, Robert Plant\, the Allman Brothers\, Neil Young\, Mavis Staples\, and The Roots to name just a\nfew. Most recently\, she was given the honor of performing\, along with Sheryl Crow\, a tribute to the late Glenn Frey at the \nRock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. For an artist who has built a devoted fan base through her electrifying live show\, Potter seems hell-bent on breaking out of the box when it comes to studio work. She refuses to be defined by a single genre. Over the last three years\, she has seamlessly transitioned from collaborating with the Flaming Lips for a Tim\nBurton film\, to songwriting and producing for soundtracks and theme songs for film and TV\, to multi-platinum\, Grammy nominated country duets with her friend Kenny Chesney\, to most recently joining The Rolling Stones on stage for an inspired rendition of “Gimme Shelter.”

SUMMARY:Durham Country Poets @ Dog Mountain ((Free Show!))
DESCRIPTION:The Levitt AMP St. Johnsbury Music Series \nDog Mountain | St. Johnsbury\, VT \nSunday\, September 15 @ 4:00 pm \n  \nHighlighted by frontman Kevin Harvey’s soulful\, bluesy vocals\, Durham County Poets is a folk roots band with seasoned musicians who have an easy rapport on stage and an eclectic\, laid-back style. Though their name evokes the American south\, the band actually hails from Quebec\, Canada. The band members write music both on their own and collaboratively\, incorporating a variety of genres\, including blue\, gospel\, country\, jazz\, rock and soul. Despite being Canadian\, the band definitely has an Americana feel and counts among its influences The Band\, James Taylor\, Neil Young\, Muddy Waters and Dire Straits. Formed in 2011\, Durham County Poets has been popular at Canadian music festivals for years and has been extending its reach into the American market since its third album release\, Grimshaw Road\, in 2017. Harmonica\, sax\, trombone and distorted guitars all find their way into the band’s sound\, and the song lyrics display an ease with language that is in keeping with the band’s name. \nDurham County Poets is working on its fourth studio album\, a half-and-half mix of covers and original material. They have played the Rochester International Jazz Festival and Ottawa Blues Fest among many others. Ottawa’s folk music society Spirit of Rasputin’s declares\, “The Poets will get you dancing in the hallways\, laughing and feeling those blues.” \n  \n
