As Vermont’s only homegrown, independent radio station since 1977, The Point loves to play local music, deep tracks and new music. Every hour, The Point plays tracks rarely heard on radio, as well as many new songs heard only on The Point.
With no corporate overseer telling us what to play, we’re free to take chances, to play the songs we think our listeners will enjoy, and yes, to take requests! The Point’s DJs love to discover new music and share those discoveries on the air with Point listeners.
We also love to support local talent. Many local artists often receive their first airplay on the River, some of whom go on to great fame and become national acts, such as Grace Potter, Noah Kahan, Twiddle, and Phish.
