SUMMARY:The Brother Brothers & Oshima Brothers @ Higher Ground
DESCRIPTION:The Point Welcomes: \nThe Brother Brothers & Oshima Brothers & Eva Rawlings \nA Tour de Point Show \nSaturday\, June 15th @ 8:00 pm \nHigher Ground | S Burlington\, VT \n-Get Tickets and Event Info Here- \nThe Brother Brothers are Adam and David Moss\, identical twins carrying on the folk tradition for a new generation. Using minimal instrumentation\, heartfelt lyricism\, and harmonies so natural they seem to blend into one beautiful voice\, the siblings draw on the energy and creativity of Brooklyn\, New York for their full-length debut album\, Some People I Know. \nThe Brother Brothers’ acoustic project emerges from several years spent traveling the country\, both separately and together\, playing in varying ensembles and sometimes settling in separate cities. Though each writes his fair share of the discography independently\, the brothers’ palpable fraternal bond produces a togetherness in these songs that few bands can offer. \nOshima Brothers- \nRaised in a musical family in rural Maine\, the brothers have honed a harmony-rich blend of contemporary folk and acoustic pop. On stage\, Sean and Jamie create a surprisingly full sound with dynamic vocals\, electric and acoustic guitars\, octave bass\, loops\, and percussion. Their debut album\, “Oshima Brothers\,” released in 2016\, is a collection of 11 original songs written by Sean\, and arranged and recorded by Jamie. The brothers live in Maine but are often on the road performing\, producing music videos\, and dancing. \nEva Rawlings \nEva is a singer/song-writer is from South Burlington\, Vermont and has been performing and writing her own songs since she was 7 years old. Her music ranges from sweet and sultry to dark and dramatic. Her music has been compared to Amy Winehouse- Eva’s musical hero- and more contemporary artists like Billie EIlish\, SZA\, Daniel Caesar\, and Lana Del Rey. Her song “Leave Me Alone”\, a song about battling her inner demons\, was played on VPR as one of 2017’s most influential songs. This song that she wrote\, recorded\, and produced herself can be found on her Soundcloud link below.\n \nEva’s debut album will be available on all major streaming platforms this summer- stay tuned! \nEva will be accompanied by Miles Kittell on keyboard and Ian Halpin on drums. \n  \n
