LOH celebrates the 50^th anniversary of Janis Joplin’s exhilarating Woodstock performance!

Tony Award nominee Mary Bridget Davies (Best Lead Actress for her performance as Joplin in the show’s Broadway production) reprises her role in this larger-than-life musical honoring the rocker’s turbulent life and biggest musical influences. Those influences included trailblazers like Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Odetta, Nina Simone, and Bessie Smith.

Like a comet that burns far too brightly to last, Joplin exploded onto the music scene in 1967 and, almost overnight, became the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Her unmistakable voice, filled with raw emotion and tinged with Southern Comfort, soars on classic songs like Piece of My Heart, Cry Baby, Me and Bobby McGee, and more.
