Burlington City Arts’ Annual Summer Concert Series 2019

Burlington City Arts’ annual summer concert series presented by VSECU kicks off on June 12. All are welcome to enjoy 22 free concerts, this year on lower Church Street near City Hall. The series takes place on Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:30 p.m. from June 12 to August 28. We’ve programmed a line-up that features both our local favorites and some from further afield that may be new to you. It’s an excellent opportunity to listen to new music, have lunch with a friend or co-worker or enjoy being outside with your community, supporting live music.

The Blind Spots

The Blind Spots, a tenured, Ithaca NY-based, all original moxy rock band steered by magnetic songstress and force of nature Maddy Walsh, recently celebrated its ten-year “bandiversary” with a sold-out show at their hometown’s Hangar Theatre. The event was paired with the release of the band’s fourth studio album, Talk. The new album brings to the stage a wide range of emotions and a matured grasp of songwriting, paired, as always, with the band’s signature high-energy performances and unyielding penchant for FUN.

The Blind Spots have shared festival and event bills with the likes of Lake Street Dive, Jukebox the Ghost, Amy Helm, Rubblebucket, Donna the Buffalo, Sharon Jones (rest her soul!), The Punch Brothers, Steve Earle, Anders Osborne, Blues Traveler, Eddie Money, Rusted Root, and Rubblebucket, among others, and they show only signs of exponential growth, as they continue to expand their touring radius, gaining new fans and momentum with each electrifying live performance.
