The Black Keys released their latest album Dropout Boogie on May 13, which happens to be a day before the 20th anniversary of their first album. Dan Auerbach says watching bands come and go, it’s insane to think that they are still here. He says, “It Blows my Mind. The odds are so stacked against them.” That brings us to this song from the album, “It Ain’t Over.” This song was born from a series of drum loops and patterns created by drummer Patrick Carney. The Black Keys are on their expansive tour of North America; their first tour in three years with support from Band of Horses.

He has assembled quite the team to help bring his new self-titled album to life, including duetting with a few of the biggest folk-adjacent singers in modern popular music like Phoebe Bridgers, Brandi Carlile, Clairo, and for this song, vocalist Danielle Ponder. Marcus Mumford’s debut solo album will arrive September 16.
